New gig: Regional Editor for NewMusicBox

I am thrilled to announce that, after a couple years of writing intermittently for NewMusicBox, I’ll be continuing on as a Regional Editor! Most of my reportage will be devoted to the many, many amazing musical things happening here in Los Angeles, but I hope to at least broadly report on what’s happening all over…

I am thrilled to announce that, after a couple years of writing intermittently for NewMusicBox, I’ll be continuing on as a Regional Editor! Most of my reportage will be devoted to the many, many amazing musical things happening here in Los Angeles, but I hope to at least broadly report on what’s happening all over the West Coast.

I’ll have some big shoes to fill: ostensibly I’m taking over for Sidney Chen, who is taking some time to concentrate on his many other projects, and his excellent coverage of the vibrant San Francisco/Bay area new music scene will be sorely missed!
